Matt’s path to joining Pivotal Advisors as a Senior Consultant hasn't been traditional. While sales, sales management, and sales training is the tie that binds his 25 years of professional experience (Which, doesn’t take into account his first sales role—at 10-years of age—with the Minneapolis Tribune/Minneapolis Star—Selling, collecting, and delivering newspapers, as well as managing a newspaper drop-point later.), he has also excelled in other business areas.  

During his career, Matt has been a key contributor at Dentsply Sirona, Best Buy, and Ridgeview Medical Center. He's a sought after executive coach, led marketing teams, launched medical devices, provided clinical chair-side medical training, as well as taken active roles in writing sales curriculum and sales model processes. With Dentsply International, his role wasn't limited to North America, it was there that he also gained extensive international business experience. Matt has been professionally trained, used and implemented, as well as supported numerous sales models—Including both Strategic Selling and The Challenger Sale.  

Most recently, Matt was the founder of Metamorfos, a strengths-based development group. He is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach (Signature Strengths: Strategic; Learner; Achiever; Responsibility; and Deliberative. Supporting Strengths: Relator; Activator; Individualization; Focus, and Analytical.). His clients included Dentsply Sirona, Idexx Laboratories, Mayo Clinic, Mount Olivet Church, Ameriprise Financial, Carlson School of Management, Don Stevens, and Metropolitan Endodontics to name a few. In January of 2016, Matt wrote and published Raw & Refined, a StrengthsFinder practice guide for activating your inherent talents & wellbeing.  

Matt has been the keynote speaker for groups both large and small. His presentation topics include: sales and sales techniques, time management, StrengthsFinder, individual and organizational development, habit, strategy, as well as wellbeing.
