About Kindra Davenport

My name is Kindra Davenport and I provide strengths-based coaching and educational trainings to of variety of people in a number of settings. The majority of my experience is in the academic and business realm, however, I have recently had the opportunity to provide strength coaching and educational training in a church setting. I have provided strengths-based trainings to managers and teams along with individuals seeking one-on-one coaching. I've been through several Gallup trainings with a variety of skilled Gallup coaches. What makes me different from the other good options you have to choose from is my strong focus on producing excellence and my educational and work related experience.

I have worked for five years as an Adjunct Psychology Instructor at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB), and as a Marriage & Family Therapy Intern and Mental Health Educator at San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC). As a Psychology Instructor, I have prepared the following eight courses: Personal & Social Adjustment (PSYC. 115), Experimental Psychology Laboratory (PSYC. 311 lab), Developmental Psychology (PSYC. 201), Abnormal Psychology (PSYC. 390), Introduction to Child Psychopathology (PSYC. 391), Introduction to Psychotherapy (PSYC. 386), Advanced Clinical Seminar (PSYC. 422), and Parent & Family Relations (PSYC. 303). I am very passionate about teaching and consider myself to be very energetic and engaging. While I have taught a number of psychology related courses, helping people discover their strengths and learn to use them to enhance engagement, productivity, profit, and workplace satisfaction is by far my favorite lesson to teach.

In my position as a Marriage & Family Therapist Intern and Campus Mental Health Educator, I have worked with hundreds of clients and students under licensed supervision since September 2010. I conduct assessments, diagnostics, recovery plans, and treatment goals in addition to providing short and long term individual and group psychotherapy to students. More importantly, in this role, I have had the opportunity to provide strengths-based leadership trainings and coaching to students, staff, faculty and management.

Both of these academic organizations host student bodies that are characterized by diversity, and my students have represented a wide variety of ages, ethnic groups, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I find this level of diversity to be very stimulating, and I have been successful in synchronizing these divergent groups to create a rich learning environment where all are truly welcome to contribute.

I feel my diversity of experiences will allow me to provide you a strengths-based coaching or training session that fits you, your group or your team needs, whatever they may be.
