Lim Poh Guan’s expertise lies in custom building leadership development programs using best-in-class leadership ideas and content. As both a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and John Maxwell Team Founding Partner, he can help organizations combine the power of the CliftonStrengths with the wisdom of John C. Maxwell’s leadership concepts. As someone with deep Consulting and Corporate Human Resource experience, he knows how to practically integrate Strengths Development into an organization’s Competency Development, Talent Management and Performance Management frameworks.
Poh Guan's experience includes stints with three different international consulting firms. He has custom designed and delivered leadership development programs for organizations in 15 countries. In addition to his consulting experience, he has also served as Senior Vice President of Talent & Organization Development at the United Overseas Bank (UOB). His journey as a Strengths advocate began in 2009 after being certified by Gallup as an internal Strengths Performance Coach within UOB. He subsequently designed an internal Strengths Unleashed! program built around the CliftonStrengths. As part of the program, he trained a group of ten internal facilitators to deliver it bank-wide. More than a thousand employees benefited from the program. Poh Guan has since designed and developed numerous learning interventions that incorporate the Strengths philosophy for clients in the Asia-Pacific region.
Poh Guan graduated with a Bachelors of Engineering degree from the National University of Singapore and a Masters of Science degree from Brown University. He also has an MBA from the Nanyang Business School.
