I am an organizational consultant, using the arts and experiential learning to help teams reimagine their future and design a path to achieve it. My work in both the private and non-profit sectors includes strategic action-planning and change management. As a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, I am particularly effective at helping teams understand how to harness their individual member strengths for exceptional results.
I am available for individual coaching as well with my expertise in working with teams. I view the power of understanding one’s strengths as the most exciting and effective path to personal and professional success.
After 20 years in the field of arts administration, I began working as a management consultant, facilitator, and program designer focused on building community through the use of the arts and participatory leadership. Two powerful examples of this integration are the Remember Project, which used theatre as an invitation for community conversations about Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, and the St. Croix Master Watershed Stewards program, which tests a new model of volunteerism to protect the St. Croix watershed.
I am also a Life-Cycle Celebrant, writing and officiating ceremonies of all kinds, but especially milestone events such as weddings and celebrations of life. I live with my husband, poet Bill McCarthy, in the Historic Ramsey Hill district of St. Paul with our dog Sophie.
