Alma Hughes is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and serves internal clients at Regions Financial Corporation. She was initially exposed to strengths reading Now, Discover Your Strengths in 2001, and immediately connected with this focus on understanding what we do best so that we can be our best.
Alma coaches individuals, teams and leaders at all levels in the organization, and seeks to facilitate individuals and groups understanding of their strengths and how they can be successfully applied in any given situation. She has worked with senior executives to bring about organizational change, enhance senior leadership teams, and accelerate executive leadership performance and associate engagement through coaching and consulting.
Alma is a Vice President at Regions Financial Corporation. Before joining Regions, Alma was a Senior Vice President/Talent Development Consultant with Lee Hecht Harrison, served as a Principal Consultant at her own firm (V1ctorious Resources) and culminated a career at Bank of America (and its predecessors) as a Senior Vice President. She has also provided pro bono consulting and coaching services for the non-profit community in and around Central Virginia, and is a frequently requested speaker at colleges and universities, and at regional and national conferences.
Alma holds an A.B. Degree from the College of William and Mary in Psychology, and a M.Ed. from Springfield College in Industrial Psychology. She also holds a Certificate in Bank Operations from the Bank Administration Institute’s Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, holds a certification for the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, a Master Facilitator certification for MasteryWorks, Incorporated, and holds PCC and BCC Executive Coach certifications.
