LeeAnna Spiva, PhD, RN is an accomplished Nurse Leader and Researcher with proven success leading teams in the achievement of a vision for transforming, measuring and creating value in healthcare. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Emory University and Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from Georgia State University. She’s holds appointments at both local and national levels including adjunct professor positions at Georgia State University Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and Kennesaw State University WellStar School of Nursing. Currently, she serves as the Assistant Vice President Nursing Operations and Practice at WellStar Health System.
She has expertise in research, lean leadership, strategic planning, innovation and process redesign, creating measurable and sustained results to advance clinical and process improvements in quality, research, patient experience, and workforce management. Experience creating an environment where healthcare teams collaborate, practice and conduct research to improve quality, reduce the cost of care, and enhance the patient experience.
