About Petr Smetal

Collective leadership based on individual strengths empowerment, joined values, genuine collaboration, high respect and trust - this is very central to my working and leadership experience since 1996. I am convinced that both team and individual coaching plays a decisive role in the leadership development and raising performance. Many times, it is just enough to touch a human life and you can unlock an unbelievable potential. True leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders. These are the key reasons why I became a coach.  

I am a management consultant, coach, mentor and Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. I have a proven record in building successful teams and organizations in my more than 20 years long career at Coty, where I served in different executive positions - lastly for 8 years as Commercial VP for Eastern Europe covering 17 markets via 7 subsidiaries. As an early adopter in different areas of leadership, I started implementing strengths-based approach already during early stage of my carrier and it was the key reason why EE region was, under my leadership, the best performing region globally at Coty.  

Before Coty, I received a master degree from the Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry and worked as auditor at Price Waterhouse gaining financial background from multiple business sectors.  

As a consultant, I am focused on solving strategic questions, strengths-based coaching and value-based management. I contribute on subject areas like: leadership development, organizational culture development, employee engagement, performance management, business restructuring, change management and business integration. My training program Positive Leadership provides alternative ways how to become successful leader and increase performance through individual uniqueness.  

Helping people, teams, and organizations to become more effective and succeed in their professional or personal life is my passion. If you really care about results and long-term impact then the quality of leadership is critical and you may need an experienced observer and supporter that can guide you and your team in finding the best way to succeed. I am facilitating workshops with executives, HR and departmental teams to reach high performance.
