About Randa Scott

My Gallup Strengths are Futuristic, Includer, Connectedness, Positivity, and Learner. I consider myself a facilitator of opportunities, a resourceful planner, creative enthusiast, and compassionate mentor. These are the qualities I bring to Gallup Strengths coaching as an intuitive teacher and mentor with an entrepreneurial spirit living with God's grace in the second half of life. I'm the mom of Lena (9) who is a strong willed, gifted young lady and I am the wife of Mike, my best friend, who has owned a residential and commercial building company with his dad for over 25 years. I served 9 years in human resources development and training and over 10 years in higher education, enrollment, student development, and teaching. I hold an BA in Organizational Development and Diversity, an MBA, and currently seeking a PhD. in Leadership Studies.

I love the classroom/workshop setting where dialogue happens and people wrestle with difficult questions and learn together. I also enjoy learning people's individual stories, providing encouragement and helping surface personal wisdom to overcome challenges. In my full time role I serve as the Director of Vocation and Professional Development at Concordia University Texas in Austin where I develop career services programming and mentor students as they explore and discern vocational callings through experiential learning opportunities like internships and jobs. As a Christian I believe that everyone has a voice and is worthy of love and belonging. I believe that as human beings our actions often do not reflect the Truth, and this is especially evident in the behaviors displayed in our local communities and around the world. As a steward of human flourishing and as a PhD. student of Leadership in the 21st century I'm called to help others reach their personal and professional goals in the midst of current realities and discover their unique leadership potential.
