Über Michael Short

As a seasoned CEO / President of companies with a family, successes and failures as a part of my history. I truly believe that my strengths are to help others to develop the right culture and team to deliver and be the best they can be. It is first hand leadership experience that has been the anvil of my learning.

My top five strengths are indicative of how I approach coaching and team development. As a result I tend to concentrate on clients that want longer term individual development coaching and teams that require a longer period of input. My themes are

1. Arranger
People who are especially talented in the Arranger theme can organize, but they also have a flexibility that complements this ability. They like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity.

2. Maximizer
People who are especially talented in the Maximizer theme focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something superb.

3. Individualization
People who are especially talented in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.

4. Relator
People who are especially talented in the Relator theme enjoy close relationships with others. They find deep satisfaction in working hard with friends to achieve a goal.

5. Self Assurance
People who are especially talented in the Self-Assurance theme feel confident in their ability to manage their own lives. They possess an inner compass that gives them confidence that their decisions are right.

I have always been a great believer in strengths. By that I mean play to that which you are best at and know where others could provide a better resource or be stronger players with you as a part of the team. Strengths for me, aligned with the right Purpose and KPIs, provide a strong path to better teams and outcomes for the customer, other stakeholders and employees.
