I am currently the Associate Director for Counseling Services & Operations in the Career Services Office at the University of Utah, where I supervise the counseling staff, and oversee the operations of the office, staff professional development, and coordination of outreach with academic partners and higher education administrators. Previously in Career Services, I have served in a variety of roles, overseeing program management, external relations, and career coaching undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of majors. In the past, I have worked in a variety of industries, as a middle school English teacher and a behavioral data specialist at a well renowned pediatric research institute, before finding my niche in higher education and student affairs. I found my niche with the help of StrengthsFinder, which helped me uncover why I was unhappy in my previous roles. I changed my professional path to one in which I could use my strengths on a daily basis, and after becoming a certified Strengths Coach, I have been dedicated to helping others do the same. By utilizing my strengths, I have skyrocketed my career, become involved in the community, and am currently pursuing my final year as a PhD candidate in the Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Utah. The achiever in me will help you find supportive ways to reach your goals individually and as a team, while honing and developing your strengths to become the best version of yourself that you can be. As someone with empathy, developer, and positivity – I will cheer you on, and I will advocate for and support you in reaching whatever you goals you aspire to. I will be in your corner, and that’s a promise.
