While I have been mentoring and coaching individuals for many years, I find the positive tools and framework that I use as a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach both rewarding and invigorating. It is exciting to meet with new clients and discover what makes them unique and then guide them as they develop their strengths.

I have 30 years of experience as a leader, instructor and practicing attorney in the federal government. With over ten years in the federal Senior Executive Service, I enjoyed leading numerous operations and policy teams. Developing the strengths of individual team contributors, supervisors and executives is my passion.

My varied experience as a public health nurse, federal court trial attorney and executive provided me with the opportunity to engage with people from varied backgrounds. I relate and engage with people in a down-to-earth manner that builds the trust necessary for growth. As a sought-after coach and mentor at the United States Department of Justice, I invested in the careers of multiple employees throughout the organization.

Prior to retiring from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in 2017, I was the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the DOJ Office of Justice Programs. I provided leadership for multiple national public safety initiatives in an agency with a $4 billion budget. I worked closely with federal, state and local law enforcement executives on violence reduction and community engagement initiatives. Earlier in my career, I held multiple positions in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California in San Francisco. I was an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA), Executive AUSA, First Assistant and the Acting U.S. Attorney.

I hold a Juris Doctor from the University of California Hasting College of the Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Delaware.
